Denver, CO

With a population of over 700,000 people, Denver has the unique distinction of being a consolidated city and county. The employment opportunities, recreation opportunities, and available real estate make this area an attractive potential location to call home for many people. This is significantly more than some popular cities such as Miami Beach and San Diego. The climate in the county is perfect for outdoor sports such as skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. Much of this is due to the fact that while they expect at least 60 inches of snow annually, the sunshine and the relatively mild temperatures make it an ideal environment for outdoor activities for those that enjoy the snow.

This area offers many amenities to its residents. Some of the largest employers in this area include the school districts, IBM, and Wells Fargo. Denver is home to many sports facilities which provide access to a variety of professional sports teams and events. The county is also home to Denver International Airport, which provides a myriad of job opportunities as well as a level of unparalleled travel convenience.

This area has a median home price of over $360,000. This is higher than the median home price for Colorado of just over $314,000. With a growth rate from the past twelve months of over 12 percent, the real estate market in the county is healthy and is expected to stay that way for the foreseeable future. This area is unique in that it currently offers the most extensive inventory of homes for sale between $300,000 and $400,000 in the entire state of Colorado.
