Pastry with locally sourced flour from a business that supports Colorado

Have you ever driven by the Rebel Bread Bakery in Denver? I have seen the bakery multiple times but have never had the chance to stop by. Recently, we had some friends over for dinner and they brought along some Rebel Bread pastries. I finally had my opportunity to try this bakery out and it did not disappoint! Their “Morning Bun” was so good with my morning coffee that I had to learn more about this small business. It turns out that Rebel Bread is so much more than just a great spot for a delicious pastry. Here are some things about Rebel Bread Bakery that make it a Denver business we love to support:

They Source Locally

They pride themselves on supporting sustainable agriculture, and local Colorado economies. All of their loaves and pastries are made with regional grains from local mill Dry Storage.

They Have Community Events

They give back to the community is so many ways. Check out their bakery tours, tasting events and even thier baking festival. The 2nd annual Denver Baking Fest will be held this year on October 5th 2024 from 10 to 1. The festival will be at their location in the Denver Design District at 675 South Broadway Denver, CO 80209 and will include live music, coffee, tastings, and a baking contest.

They Have Classes

Have you always wanted to learn how to make sourdough bread or are you wanting to perfect your sourdough making skills? They have a camp for that! Take their Intro to the Art and Science of Home Baked Bread and let us know how it goes.

They Have Amazing Baked Goods

Some of the must-try items from Rebel Bread include:

  • Sourdough Loaf: This is what started my love affair with Rebel Bread. The tangy flavor and perfect texture come from a long fermentation process, resulting in a loaf that’s simply out of this world.
  • Multigrain Bread: Hearty, nutritious, and packed with seeds and grains, this loaf is a staple for any health-conscious eater.
  • Croissants: Light, flaky, and buttery, these croissants are everything you’d expect from a traditional French bakery.
  • Specialty Pastries: The selection varies with the seasons, but you can always count on finding something delicious like almond croissants or fruit danishes.

They More Than Pastries

In addition to their baked goods, Rebel Bread also offers a variety of other delicious items. Their Roasted Asparagus sandwich with cacio e pepe spread, arugula, and balsamic glaze on Rebel Sourdough focaccia sounds amazing.
